Theft of Motor Vehicle Mercury Walk

Dear Resident

Between 0150 - 1405 08/06/25 a theft of a motor vehicle occurred in Mercury Walk

Victims Vehicle a Lexus estate was taken from outside address on Mercury Walk. no debris or anything left at scene. Victim had sunglasses and a make up bag in the vehicle. Still has both sets of keys for vehicle.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
